Halloween

We had a lot of fun being creative with our pumpkins this year. Brandon was the only one that actually carved a pumpkin. Makylie and I decided to try and put glitter on our pumpkins. We think they turned out pretty cute. Kason painted his pumpkin to look like a scary pirate and Drake colored his cute little Spider! We all love this fun tradition!

Kason has learned a new trick that he is pretty proud of. Blowing bubbles with his gum. I came home from work the night before we carved pumpkins and he was so excited to show me his new trick his dad taught him. He will be looking forward to all the gum he gets in his trick-or-treat bag!

I guess it is about time to post something that is not about the snow. I am sure that everyone is as excited as I am to finally (hopefully) be done with the snow!! Utah, who knows?

I would love to be posting outside pictures since it has been so nice outside but, I am not so lucky. I am just posting pictures of my kids ruining my house as they seem to always do.

This morning I was in the shower when Kason came in to tell me "MOM! You have GOT to come see Drake he has your make-up ALL over him!" I hurried as fast as I could to get out of the shower and find my camera. Oh my, he had found the worst type of make-up to have all over everything. Yip, it was lip stick. He looked so cute though!! That color fit him perfect, the pink/red hair sticking straight out was the best!!

I
About a couple of months ago Drake decided to stir the desitan with his binki, rub it in the carpet, taste it and touched anything and everything he possibly could with his covered in desitin hands. Let me just tell you, that stuff is impossible to get out of carpet! Will I ever survive being a mom or will my kids ever survive me being their mom?

Enjoying all the Snow!

During Christmas vacation we decided to take our kids to Brandon's family cabin. It was a lot of fun! Sledding there is awesome. We sled down the road for about a half mile then Brandon would pull us back up the hill with the snowmobile. I think Makylie had the most fun of us all she couldn't get enough sledding in. Kason wasn't sure what to think of sledding he liked the first time he went down with me but after he went with Brandon he decided he would rather ride on the four wheeler or snowmobile. Drake surprised me how good he was he didn't even say a peep most of the day(even without his bink). He was really cute though in his Ralphy outfit that he could barely move in. We drove down later to pickup Brandon's Mom and Dad. I think Rod thought I was a crazy driver on the snowmobile he claims I almost lost him a couple of times (Sorry Rod). They came up and had dinner with us it was a lot of fun! When we left the cabin Makylie and I decided to sled down the hill to the truck in the dark. I also took Drake with me in my sled. That was the best sledding of the whole day it was probably about a mile and a half straight down hill with no stops other than makylie's few wrecks. By the time we got down to the trucks Drake had fallen asleep he must have enjoyed it too.

Drake's Walking

Drake is cruising every where! Everyone that sees him walk says the same thing " He seems to little to walk." (He is little dude to begin with let alone walking early.) Drake started to walk to and from things at 9 months old. He decided to give up crawling and just walk at 10 months. At 11 months he is now trying to run! He is such a crazy guy. Ever since he was old enough to move he was trying to climb over my head, out of my arms and never let me change his diaper in peace. I am a little nervous to see what the future is going to bring. I thought Kason was a wild man but I think Drake is going to give him a run for his money. Let me just tell you what I am talking about when I say wild. For instance this last week alone Kason colored all over my house with black permanent marker I am talking 3 doors, base boards, walls in his and Drakes room and the family room, on the end table, the coffee table, entertainment center and on Drakes window sill all in the time I was in the shower. I was so mad!! He got in big trouble! The rest of the day he kept asking me "Mom, are you still mad at me? Mine won't do it ever again." (Kason has already colored on my coffee table two other times, but this one stole the cake.) Then the next day when I got out of the shower I went in his room and found him with a pair of scissors giving his teddy bear a hair cut. I didn't think that was to bad until I discovered that he had given himself a hair cut and cut the top of his sheet into small pieces. I hope I survive having boys.

State's Fair

The fifth graders at Spanish Oaks Elementary did a State's fair. Makylie was assigned Maryland for her state. I think it was fun for her to do the state of Maryland because her uncle Brett went to school there (The Navel Academy). She made a float, a scrap book, a persuasive letter, drew a flag, a journal entry as if she lived in Maryland and a time line. She did an awsome job. We are proud of her!

Things Drake loves!

Drake is such a funny boy. Every morning when I go to get him dressed he crawls away from me as fast as he can, hides behind the rocking chair, plays peek a boo then he goes on the hunt for his binky that he had lost in the middle of the night. In this picture his binky was stuck on the crib. He would suck on his binky and then try to crawl away with the binky in his mouth but it wouldn't follow. He didn't want to leave it behind so he went back to suck on it. He attempted to crawl away with it a few times. He was torn he wanted the binky so bad but he wanted to cruise around also. I gave in and let the binky loose after a few laughs.

Drake is a dish washer magnet. Every time he hears the dish washer he is there as fast as his little legs can crawl. ( It make doing dishes kind of rough.)

Another thing Drake found that he loved was a sucker. (What kid doesn't?) Thanks to Kason Drake found a new love at a very young age. He hasn't been able to have one since that I know of. With an older brother and older sisters who know what he gets.

Trying out the jet ski

Kason was so excited to go ride the jet-ski with grandpa. I think he had fun, but he told me that next time he wanted to ride on grandma's because it doesn't go as fast as Grandpa's. ( he must have been a little nervous)

Kason is off to Preshool

It is Kason's first year of preschool. He is so excited! The preschool he is going to is a music preschool in Mapleton. They sing songs and play instruments while learning their academics. His teachers name is Mrs. Heidi. It is nice because he gets to go to school with his friends in the neighborhood Dillan and Mark. They have a small class there are only 5 kids in his class (4 boys 1 girl). Kason loves it but he must be a little nervous he keeps asking me if I can go and stay with him the whole time.

Drake's First Hair Cut

We finally gave Drake his first hair cut at 9 months old. He doesn't have a lot of hair but we had to get rid of the wings behind his ears and a few stray hairs.

Kason's Loves his Bike

Kason loves riding his bike! He is such a wild man on it. He likes to pop wheelies, stand up and just yesterday I caught him speeding down a hill so fast that seriously would have killed him if he would have wrecked. The bad thing about the bike is that Kason forgets that he is only three and he needs to stay where his Mom can see him. I am constantly chasing him down.

I'm Back

Yeah, I am finally updating my blog. We had a fun summer. Brandon and Maky both had birthdays in July. Makylie turned 10. She is a sweet cute girl. I feel bad that I didn't get a chance to post much of the last couple of months. Hopefully now I will find time to post more often.

Dinosaur Museum

We decided to take Kason, Drake and Zoie to the Dinosaur museum while the other kids were in school. They had a lot of fun Kason was pretty amused by it all. I think there favorite part was playing in the sand and water. Drake loved the the sand box. He did't get to stay in long, he kept trying to eat the sand.

While we were at Thanksgiving Point we decided to go to the petting Zoo also. I think the kids liked feeding the goats and riding the ponies. I wish I could have captured a pic of Kason when he went through a wrong gate and discovered that him and a cow were the only one in the cage, he was out of there fast! At the beginning of the day we were wishing we would have had a jail to lock up the kids since we lost Zoie in the first five minutes we were there.

Back to School

Makylie is back in school. I can't even believe she is in fifth grade. Wow how time flies! (she was so embarrassed that I took this pic on the first day)

Jaisha's 15th Birthday

We celebrated Jaisha's 15th Birhtday friday. She loved all of her presents. I think she is most excited about being able to take the test to get her driving learners permit now that she is fifteen. It was fun to have everyone over to help celebrate. Brandon's uncle Paul R and Aunt Geneal even stopped by for a little bit. The kids had fun playing on the water slide while we all visited. Happy Birhday Jaish. We love you.
